Friday Fun #4

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that begins on Fridays and runs through the weekend, hosted by Crystal from Reading Between the Wines. This is a Friday blog hop with the objective to find and visit other book blogs that share the same interest as you, namely books geared towards the 18 & over crowd, and make some new friends!

Question of the week:
Reviews; do you write them as soon as you finish a book or not?
Answer: I write a review after I read the book. I try to write them the second I finish the book, that way it is fresh in my mind. It usually takes a few days/weeks until the book makes it onto the blog and sometimes there is revising done but regardless, I need to get it off of my chest immediately. I think I have the memory span of a gnat or something. However, sometimes I sleep on it and write my review the next day to gather my thoughts. Either way, I write a review before I pick up a new book. Other wise the details get muddled with a new book and I start thinking that Marie Antoinette boarded the Death Star to become a strigoi and married Jericho Barrons. <-- things like that happen and it isn't pretty.

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read and is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers.

Question of the Week:
What would your prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?

Answer: I would prefer to read my favorite book over and over. Mediocre books tend to get boring really fast. Especially if you don't get a book that you couldn't seem to put down in between them. You start to feel burnt out. Besides, I have books that I have probably read a dozen times already... so what's another 90 more?

TGIF is hosted by Ginger at GReads!

Question of the week:
Love stories: What are some of your favorite fictional love stories?
Answer:

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.
I absolutely love Jamie Fraser! He was still young and enjoying life but when it came time to settle down and marry, he buckled down and really protected Claire.

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.
I couldn't get enough of Rose and Dimitri. How could you not love two people who are the biggest kick-ass people out there?

Alpha and Omega by Patricia Briggs
I loved the connection between broken down Anna and fierce Charles. He is his fathers mercenary after all but Anna had an effect of him and managed to grab his attention.

Knight of Hearts by Suzie Quint
Mac was a hilarious goofball but when it came to Rachel he became very serious. He took everything she told him to heart and when she broke down, he stepped up and wanted to right all of the wrongs in her life.

  6. I can't be fair and open-minded if I write the review right away. I find I'm either on a giddy high and just end up gushing, or I'm at a bitchy low and really let the book have it. LOL

  10. Hiya!
    Here for the 18+ Follow...

If I have been given a book for review from an author, especially if that book is an ARC. I will review it as soon as I've had the chance to read it. Otherwise, it takes me a while to get round to it. lol

Your answer to the review question...I do the same thing. Sometimes I'm not as quick to do the review and feel it isn't as thoroughly so make it a point to quickly get it down on paper.

  14. Hey! 18+ Follower!!

Well, I don't write reviews so that would be a huge No! lmao... But to be honest if I did I doubt I would write them straight away.

Once I get into a book series I need to devour every damn book before taking a breather. And by the time all the books would be finished I'd have probably forgotten what to write in a review.
