This is a giveaway hop for New Adult lovers! What's new adult? New adult is like a step between young adult and adult books. The characters are a little bit older and are actually young adults (18-mid twenties) instead of in their early-mid teens. I think it's funny that people are getting confused over this new adult genre because I've always been confused by young adult. To me, a young adult is someone who is legally classified as an adult. They're learning what it's like to be dependent and figuring out who they are as a person. I'm in my mid twenties and I was getting tired of reading young adult books that revolved around 15 and 16 year olds who's biggest problem was the mean popular girl at school. I like that I finally have a genre that deals with characters my own age.

Big girls need love, too, but at what cost?
Lilly is loaded, not only with money, but with weight. Both things she could do without. But even with her undesired millionaire status, she doesn’t hold on to false hopes of finding true love. So when a sexy stranger comes into her life dripping with seduction, she finds it hard to resist. The bigger they are the harder they fall and Lilly falls straight through the floor in love with Mr. Sexy. Too bad he’s there for all the wrong reasons.
The chance of losing it all will make you do some crazy things and Devin’s willing to do whatever it takes to keep his life together. All seems lost when out of nowhere he’s approached by a Millionaire Momma with an offer he can’t refuse. But even a womanizer like Devin has a heart and when the short, chunky girl with the carefree attitude breaks through his icy façade, he finds that losing everything takes on a whole new meaning.

ReplyDeleteNo worries. Thanks for letting me know. It's all taken care of. :)

I haven’t read any of the contemporary titles that have been mostly popping up during this hop, although I want to read Beautiful Disaster and On Dublin Street. I don’t consider New Adult strictly contemporary or romance, however. If you look at the definition, it’s all about more mature aspects than YA, but not strictly adult topics. In this case, I think Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Days of Blood and Starlight can be considered NA, although fantasy. I loved both of these books and they were definitely more mature than our typical YA book.
