In celebration of the cover reveal for M.R. Merrick's latest Protector book, Release, I'm giving away an e-copy of the first book in the series, Exiled.
Exiled is a YA/urban fantasy about Chase Williams who is a demon hunter in the Circle, or at least he was supposed to be. On his fifteenth birthday, Chase stepped up to the altar to claim his elemental power, but it never came. Elemental magic is passed down to a hunter through the bloodline, but on Chase's birthday, the bloodline stopped.
Exiled without the Circle's protection, Chase has spent two years trying to survive a world riddled with half-demons and magic. When he has a run in with a frightened and seemingly innocent demon, he learns the Circle's agenda has changed: the Circle plans to unlock a portal and unleash pure-blood demons into the world. Vowing to stop them, and knowing he can't do it alone, Chase forms a reluctant alliance with Rayna — a sexy witch with an attitude and a secret.

Question Of The Week:Pick up your current book, turn to a random page, and jot down the first few sentences that pop out at you. Make sure to share the author & title of the book with everyone!

The Recruit

"Although Mary had skipped over the more salacious details, such as the position she'd found him in, the manner of his release, and the embarrassing extent of her reaction, from the way Margaret was looking at her, she must have guessed."
Thanks for the giveaway.

Hi, Kristin!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting on my Blogger Hop post!
As for your giveaway, I think the book looks very interesting, but I don't read ebooks, since I much prefer the printed variety. However, I will now put this book on my TBR, since there's a paperback edition available.
As for 18 and over hop, it does look like fun, so I'll be sure to check it out! The excerpt you picked from "The Recruit" is totally hilarious!! Thanks for sharing it!! : )
Thanks for stopping by my STS! I love the excerpt, sounds like a fun meme =)
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of the recruit before but it sounds interesting.
