Since you brought it up, I take it everything isn’t perfect at home?
 
Mel: 
Oh no! We got our Happy Ever After (HEA), but this is real life, you know? Sometimes other things get in the way.
 
Kade: 
Like family, Pack, a war…and our son.
 
Mel: *tears up*
 
Carrie Ann: 
Hey, guys. I’m sorry I brought it up.
 
Mel: *wipes her eyes and looks like the Alpha I know and love* 
Finn is amazing. He’s the center of our world. I’m so happy with him. It’s just that sometimes, as most parents know, we forget “Mommy and Daddy Time”
 
Kade: 
And that’s what A Night Away is all about.
 
Carrie Ann: I’m glad I got to take time and write a little more about y’all. I know readers love you guys, so it’s nice to be able to share with them again.
 
Carrie Ann: Now the fun part, Kade, what is your favorite color
 
Kade: Blue, the color of my Mel’s eyes.
 
Mel: Awww, you’re full of it, but I love you anyway.
 
Kade: *growls playfully*
 
Carrie Ann: Melanie, what is your favorite food?
 
Mel: I’m in love with Willow’s cinnamon rolls!
 
Carrie Ann: Who isn’t!? Okay, Kade, what is your favorite thing about Melanie?
 
Kade: Her perseverance at all things that aren’t logical and need to be.
 
Carrie Ann: You sooo know your mate! Mel, same question.
 
Mel: The fact that he waited for me.
 
Kade: I will always be here for you.
 
Mel: And I have one more…he gave me my Finn.
 
Kade: You gave me him as well.  
*kisses her temples*
 
Carrie Ann: *blinks away tears*
