When 15 year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club inNew York City, she hardley expects to witness a murder-much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing- not even a smear o blood-to show that a boy dies. Or was he a boy?

My Thoughts:
This book had been on my "List" for quite some time and I actually received it as birthday present from my great friend and fellow blogger, Kristin. Let me just say, that she knows me too well because as soon as I cracked it open, the chapters started to fly by.

It is a little different from my usual YA book selection which I loved. It can be a bit predictable at times, but what book can't be? However, the story kept me wanting more. The characters are well written and not hard to imagine. Even with the controversial change in the future of a couple of characters, I still find myself hooked. I loved the diversity, Cassandra Clare, brings to the table with the characters and their personalities. Enjoy!!

My Favorite Quotes:
* "Sarcasm is the last refuge of the imaginatively bankrupt," she told him
* The boy never cried again, and he never forgot what he learned: that to love is to destroy and that to be loved is to be the one destroyed.
